Fees
Client fees are determined by phase. Full payment shall be completed, by the client, by the end of each month for the following month. No credit. Clients understand that they are fully responsible for all fees.
Service provider costs (i.e., Impaq fees for registration and book order and SACAI registration fees (Gr 10 – 12 only)) are for the client’s own account. With regards to package options when registering your child for the new academic year, we recommend you choose physical textbooks and e-facilitator guides (Impaq specifically) and take advantage of their September (current year) discount. Registration costs and the purchase of curriculum for GED and SGEG are also for the parent’s cost. All three channels require a registration cost, textbook cost and subject-specific requirements based on your choices. This is separate from the Nurture Tree Academy registration fee and monthly fees.
Annual levy and registration fee at the academy:
R500 non-refundable (irrespective of joining month) – for ALL curriculums (Impaq, GED, SGEG)

GED (https://www.ged.com/en/policies/south-africa.html) or (https://www.passhighschool.co.za/) or (https://learnalot.com/ged/) – Academy fees:
If your child only attends per day, a register will be signed, and you will pay R350 perday; this will be billed in arrears. We found that learners benefit from attending specifically on days when our maths/science facilitator is also present. No accommodation applications apply with GED, and you DON’T receive an NSC matric certificate. This is an American curriculum with four subjects. You choose your own GED service provider.
SGEG (https://www.savinggraceeducation.co.za/curriculums/) – Academy fees:
Due to the appointment of a single facilitator managing just this curriculum for special needs and remedial needs, the cost is set at R7 000 per month, paid in advance. Compared to other special needs schools, this is indeed a very reasonable price. SGEG is registered with SACAI. Your Psych Ed evaluation is submitted, and no additional accommodation applications are required. The recommendations made by the educational psychologist are followed.
The Saving Grace Education Group is also launching a Learn to Read programme at R150 per month, paid to them. This programme is launching in 2027.

Accommodation costs (for learners with concessions, Impaq and SGEG):
Terms 1 and 3 = R150 per paper
Term 2 (exam term) = R250 per paper
Term 4 (full-year exam) = R350 per paper
We have trained readers/scribes, and our tutors are registered with SACAI as invigilators. The amount for accommodations will be added at the end of the month to the invoice being paid for the following month’s tutoring fees.
*Costs for SGEG students might be adapted depending on the curriculum choice and what we receive from them.
Accommodation costs for learners attending specific days only:
R250,00 per day, Gr 4 – 6, billed month-end.
R350,00 per day, Gr 7 – 12, billed month-end.
SACAI invigilator costs for learners NOT attending Nurture Tree Academy:
- Test terms (1 and 3) – R300 per paper, if no additional concessions are required
- Exam terms (2 and 4) – R400 per paper, if no additional concessions are required
- Tasks/Project marking and sign-off under invigilator supervision – grade dependent (between R100 – R400 per paper, if no additional concessions are required)
- End-of-phase sign-off, Gr R, Gr 3, Gr 6, and Gr 9 – this includes supervised writing of all final assessments at the end of the year and marking – excludes additional concessions – R100 per paper for Gr R and 3 / R200 per paper for Gr 6 / R300 per paper for Gr 9.
- Same costs apply for Non-Nurture Tree learners as for Nurture Tree learners for joining our booking sessions with approved external facilitators, i.e., language orals, consumer practicals, etc.
